Hampton, Newport News, Portsmouth
Very easy user interface. Enter the city, address or coordinates in the search bar at the top of the window. A map will generate with colored points you may click on for inrformation regarding an incident. Each color represents a different type of incident.
Norfolk
Very easy user interface. The city of Norfolk auto populates. The menu bar on the left screen is where you can update the date range, generate a report and select what you would like to view. You can click on the picture point in order to view a brief detail regarding the incident.
Chesapeake
Chesapeake has a difficult interface to work with. You must first select "Citizen Connect" and agree to their terms. After the map populates, select "Select All" or the incident type you wish to look for. Change the date to the time frame you are looking for and on the right side of the screen, you need to click "data" to view incident details. It is preset to Overview. You also have the option to look at specific police beats and addresses.

Suffolk
Very easy user interface that you must access through the Police to Citizen Portal. You can zoom in to a particular area or browse the data set on the right hand menu.
Virginia Beach
This is probably the most difficult map. If you know how to manipulate GIS mapping data sets, then your in luck! The rest of us will use a list of incidents. If you find a alternative, directed by the city, please let us know.
